Witches Cradle
is a short dance-on-camera film that pays homage to Maya Deren’s unfinished film, weaving a new narrative of transformation, thread, and embodied memory. Through the body and delicate strands of thread, this work honors the untold stories and the silenced voices of women across history, symbolizing their resilience amidst oppression. The hauntingly beautiful score by renowned Lebanese composer Marcel Khalife deepens the emotional landscape, creating an evocative tribute to the strength and endurance of the female spirit.
