What does dancing mean to you?
As cliché as it sounds, dancing is what makes me who I am. With it I can explore, let it out, and find the way.
Who were/are the most influential people in your life as a dancer?
My family has always been there with support and love. Their influence on my personal and professional life is the reason why I am here today. I also cannot thank enough to the most amazing teachers, Tac and Christoph Paluch back in Turkey. They were the only ones believing in me. I still dance today because of them and my amazing family.
What did you learn throughout the Oasis process?
Did it changed your dancing? ¨Every time I learn something new, do a new project, I hope and believe that to a certain degree it improves the quality of my dancing. During the Oasis project, I felt like I was freeing up as we progressed through the work. Of course there was struggle and pain and all the other bitter sweet experiences happening as always, but this time I learned to stop dancing only for others and started doing it for myself. I learned that when it truly comes from within, others enjoy it more as well. It was the biggest discovery of my career I would say and helped me explore more about the project as well as myself.
What is important to you as a dancer?
It is important to know and except that when you love it and want it that there is no one else to stop you from growth but yourself. Therefore, what I value as a dancer the most is the fire within that keeps you going. Never to forget why you started the journey in the first place. ¨What else would you like to share about yourself? ¨I am a bit of a sensitive person that still has a lot to grow. I like to learn from others and share what I know. That is probably why I am teaching and learning Gyrotonic/Gyroknesis ® . The journey I take with my colleagues in NY2 Dance is an experience of a life time and I'm very pleased with. I am very thankful to my loved ones and to those that believed an supported me. I love what I do.

What does dancing mean to you?
To me dance is an opportunity to speak freely and openly without having to explain myself to myself or others, to let my body speak for itself & to have the opportunity to hear what it's telling me.
Who were/are the most influential people in your life as a dancer?
The most influential person in my dance career has been my teacher from Texas Kym Gable, she taught me not only how to dance but how to conduct myself professionally and stick up for myself. Also my mom and dad who made me go to class when I would've rather been running around with my brothers :)
What did you learn throughout the Oasis process? Did it changed your dancing?
As a dancer growing up I always strived for a high technical level but as I've gotten a little older and especially as I've started working with NY2 my focus has turned to deepening my dancing emotionally and strengthening the artistry in my work.
What is important to you as a dancer?
It's important for me as a dancer to convey a message, to myself or an audience, to be honest and share a truth. If I'm not choreographing the material then it's important for me to be in work that I really believe in and am passionate about the concept and message of the piece.
What else would you like to share about yourself?
That other than dance, fashion design and humor are my favorite things! They both hold a power, the power to turn the ordinary beautiful and show outwardly to the world what's going on inside, nothing gets me going like a good pair of shoes and and a great sense of humor!
