Dancing Around The World- Bogota
Monday, April 20th, 2015On April 12th Enki Andrews and I left to embark on a project of a lifetime: Dancing Around the World. We just finished editing a short video of our experience in Bogota that I would like to share with you below. During the workshop I focused mostly on trust and partnerships and how to relate to different spaces to create Kinesthetic empathy. Dancing, exchanging and creating in the space with people is a very intimate art form and it creates connections between people that is hard to put into words. By moving and creating physically together we develop Kinesthetic empathy transcending the boundaries of self and invoking feelings of oneness with the other participants.
We are now in Medellin in the middle of creating, exchanging, dancing and exploring with local dancers. What a marvelous way to enter into a culture and share your passion!!!
During our residency in Bogota we were hosted by Instituto Dristiale de las Artes and the Casona de la Danza and Vannia Ibarguen from Danza V.I.D.A. with the generous support of the German Embassy in Bogota.
