Ouroboros Residency in Tampa January 27th to February 3rd, 2025
Nejla Yatkin embarks on a weeklong residency with Art2Action in Tampa, Florida, as part of the National Performance Network development residency. This transformative experience focuses on reworking the live musical accompaniment for “Ouroboros” in collaboration with the musician Sathapat, following the passing of Shamou. While honoring Shamou’s powerful compositions, this process continues to evolve the work’s musical essence. In addition, Nejla will lead a movement workshop, inviting the Tampa community to explore themes of connection, transformation, and creativity through dance.
